If you are, like me, concerned with keeping your pages viewstates as low as possible you might find this little utility helpful. Its a small activex control thats when installed adds a new menu option "Weigh ViewState..." to the Internet Explorer's context menu (appearing when you right-click on a webpage).
Clicking "Weigh ViewState..." will instantly give you the size of the current page's viewstate.
This utility is available for download, and you may use it as you please. Note however that it is unsupported and that ElektroPost does not take any responsibilities for its function and/or damage caused by its use.
The only file that gets installed on your system is QViewState.DLL, and it is normally placed by IE in the folder:
C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files
If you want to uninstall:
unregister the file QViewState.DLL by running "regsvr32 QViewState.DLL /u" from the command prompt in the above folder.
