The EPiServer-Outlook/Exchange integration module consists of two parts:
- a server component that reads/writes towards Exchange server
- an EPiServer template page that displays the calendar for a given exchange
The server component in the EPiServer-Outlook/Exchange integration module uses the WebDAV protocol to read data from Exchange and SMTP to send meeting request to Exchange. The server component exposes an API which clients can communicate with Exchange through.
On the template page it is possible to configure the url for the calendar which will be displayed. The template page will then use the API exposed by the server component to display the calendar entries. It is also possible to make a meeting request against the user that is configured for the calendar.
Note: with Outlook and Exchange means the official trademarks from Microsoft Corp.
