MultiPagedDoc is a module that makes it possible to import large Word documents and create a page hierarchy within EPiServer from the document. It is possible to configure which tags in document that should cause new pages to be created. I.e. you can select to create new pages for h1, h2 and h3 tags, meaning h2 will be childs to h1 and h3 child to h2.
The module is freely available for your testing / usage. Note however that the module is unsupported and provided "as is". The module may be changed/discontinued or incorporated within the EPiServer core product without further notice.
How does it work?
The EPiServer add-in for Microsoft office has to be installed and activated for the site (you can do this on first page in edit mode under tab Office Add-in).
Then you can open your word document that you want to publish to EPiServer. In word you choose the option "publish to EPiServer" which will start a wizard. In the wizard you first choose which EPiServer site and place in the page hierarchy for that site you want to publish to. In the next wizard step you choose Multipaged Document as the page type to created pages from. In the next wizard step you choose which tags to split word document on. After you have finished the wizard the document will be imported to EPiServer in the hierarchy you selected.
